1.  Shipping Policy

Gene Hackers ships with the United Parcel Service (UPS) and the United States Postal Service (USPS).  We are able to ship internationally, however additional shipping costs will apply.  We reserve the right to adjust shipping costs on international orders after the order is placed and confirmed.  

 

Orders to Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, A.P.O's and P.O. Boxes are shipped via the USPS.  UPS may be unable to ship to these types of addresses.  If you require shipping to one of these types of addresses and do not choose USPS, we reserve the right to change shippers, and adjust shipping costs after the order is placed and confirmed.

 

We reserve the right to adjust shipping costs and methods at any time, without notification. The difference will be charged to your credit card.

 

International Customers

We are able to send orders to most international locations.  In some cases, we are unable to generate accurate shipping rates. By placing your order, we reserve the right to adjust your shipping method and rate.  The difference will be charged to your credit card.

2.  Satisfaction Policy

Gene Hackers offers you a quality shopping experience.  We strive to offer you the highest quality products and services.  Rarely do we encounter customer dissatisfaction.  If Gene Hackers shipped you an incorrect item, we did not ship an item, or you are not satisfied with the quality of a product or service, please call our office immediately so we can resolve this issue as quick as possible.

 

Unfortunately, shipping charges may not be refunded; it is determined on a case-by-case basis. The actual shipping charge may be higher than our flat rate initially charged. The returned merchandise will be credited to your credit card minus shipping charges.  Bulk orders may not be refundable unless agreed in writing prior to purchase.  International orders may not be refundable unless agreed in writing prior to purchase.  We reserve the right to refuse refunds, returns, and credits.

5.  Return Policy

As stated in our Satisfaction Policy, Gene Hackers offers you a quality shopping experience.  We strive to offer you the highest quality products and services.  Rarely do we encounter customer dissatisfaction.  If, for any reason, your equipment is not functioning, damaged, or not satisfied, please contact us immediately.

 

New Equipment

All returned merchandise must be unregistered, in complete original manufacturer's packaging, same condition as sold, with all accessories, literature, instructions, documentation and blank warranty cards.

 

Return period: 7 days for video, audio, home theater, digital equipment & related accessories.  14 days for photo equipment, except as listed below.

 

No returns on:

  • Underwater equipment once submerged.

  • Processing equipment once used with chemicals.

  • Printers once ink cartridges are installed.

  • TVs, combos, and monitors 25" and larger.

  • Educational tapes and books once opened.

  • Blister-packed items once opened.

  • Original manufacturer computers, computer products, software once opened.

  • Special Order merchandise.

  • All consumables, including but not limited to recordable media, film, digital memory, tapes, batteries, paper, chemicals, ink, bulbs, CD/DVDs, etc.

Additional Rules:

  • No returns will be accepted without an RMA number.  Please call or e-mail us to obtain one.

  • Items with timers must show <120 min use. Items with shutter counters must show <200 exposures.

  • Defective items may be repaired or exchanged at our discretion for the same or manufacturer's equivalent model only.

  • Not responsible for personal data or items left in returned merchandise.

  • If any of the above conditions are not met, Gene  Hackers reserves the right to refuse the return or charge a restock fee of not less than 15%, at our sole discretion.

  • Please inspect your purchase carefully. Claims for damaged / missing items must be received within two (2) business days of receipt of merchandise.

  • Refunds on returned items which were paid for by credit card or PayPal will only be made by crediting the account charged for the purchase. Refunds on returned items which were paid for by check will only be made by check after a 10-day waiting period.

  • Rebate information is provided for informational purposes only and does not promise or imply eligibility to receive the rebate.

  • The gift cards and/or store credits are redeemable for merchandise only and is not transferable. It may not be redeemed for cash. Will not be replaced if lost or stolen.

Used Equipment

All used equipment is guaranteed to work, regardless of its cosmetic condition, unless otherwise stated. Used photo equipment is guaranteed for 90 days from date of purchase and has a 14 day return privilege, less shipping. Used Video/Imaging items come with a 30 day "Parts and Labor" warranty, excluding video heads, and may be returned within 7 days for a full refund, less shipping.
 

Antique Equipment

All antique equipment is not guaranteed to work, unless otherwise stated.  We do not offer any warranty or guarantee.  All antique equipment sales are final.
